Namibia

Windhoek

We arrived on a first ever flight that connected Botswana with Namibia so we were broadcasted on the news and there was a whole welcoming ceremony when we arrived. We were the only real passengers that took this plane besides all the officials so they had a designated person that helped us through the customs. It was such a crazy experience!

Waterberg

The close encounter with Black Mamba - the river god for its people. People fear it but also revere it because it keeps the rivers and streams flowing.

Etosha

Self-driving safari - exploring the wild by ourselves and truly tests our skill in understanding the animals and our luck.

Skeleton Coast - 2 Days

Everyone questioned us why go to skeleton coast and what’s there to do but we just want to see this incredible and unique landscape. No one was there especially only fishermen would come here and fish but we are here at their low season so no one is around, no activities so we drove around in the dunes, hiked up, and play in the dunes by ourselves. We found our favorite spot for sunset

Fly through Skeleton Coast in dawn

Play in Sand Dunes just by ourselves

We drove through the dunes with no one in sight so we got off the jeep and started trekking to the huge dunes but as we trek up to the dunes, we started seeing pieces of animal bones… We were getting nervous but we kept hiking up. It was a little scary because we saw a wild dog during sunrise. The hike got harder and harder and I tried not to look back and down because it was so steep. It’s a strange sight in dessert that the hill can be so steep but doesn’t feel that dangerous. As we got to the top, we peeked through and were amazed by the endless rolling dunes that moves like ocean while the ocean was just right there. The wind was so strong that we felt like we were going to be blown away.

Swakopmund

Beautiful city that doesn’t have any drainage system on the street because there’s rarely any rain.

Sandwich Harbour Tour

Sossusvlei

Deadvlei

Hidden Vlei

The sign said 2 kilometers away to get to the Hidden Vlei and must hike with more than 3 people…

We definitely hiked further than 2 kilometers and every dry spot we thought “this must be it, right? but we see more guiding sticks that tell us to keep going.

As we are trekking in, we see so many different footprints from different animals walking, and running… there must be some hunting going on not no ago…

We are constantly amazed how these plants or animals survived in this place.
